Rand Water is a South African water utility that provisions consumable water to the Gauteng region and different region of the nation and is the biggest water utility in Africa.
This position is fundamental for keeping the Sewer Pump Stations in great activity conditions, which incorporates Working Pumps, Support of manual screens, Housekeeping, and Assessments. Announcing issues to the Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Grade 12 or Equivalent
• Previous Sewer Pump Station experience will be advantages.
• Physically and Medical fit.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
• Get Hand Over from the past shift.
• Marking of the Pump Station Register.
• Record all pump readings (Run Hour Meter)
• Records sumps level readings
• Check the inlet valves and outlet valves for the positions, and open the valves that should be open and close the valves that ought to be close.
• Pump Station Day to day Inspection
• Cleaning of the Screens as and when required.
• Cleaning of the Pump Station.
• Record and Report all the shortcoming Gear
• Screen the running Pumps.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
• Basic understanding of Sewer Pump Station.
• Basic rigging.
• Basic understanding of valves, pressure and flow principles
• Safety working procedures
• Good communication skills (verbal)
• Good housekeeping skills
