X20 General Workers at Transnet Closing on 17-01-2024
Job Purpose: To ensure a reliable duty by assisting RNC construction teams during maintenance and construction works in Telecoms.
To ensure that work is completed effectively and efficiently performing general worker duties
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of 06 Months of relevant experience
Minimum Grade 9
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Knowledge of construction working environment
Knowledge of relevant tools equipment and material
Physically & Medical fit,
Communicate
Distinguish between correct tools, equipment and materials thereof for specific task
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Handling, loading and offloading material
Distinguish and identify different types of materials and tools
Use material to execute tasks received from Supervisor
Understand the sequence of tasks given by supervisor
Performing trench excavations, as well as handling or laydown any kind of services to trenches and do backfilling.
Support & obey instruction received from Supervisor.
Cleaning of site by removing weeds, stacking materials, sweeping floors and removing and disposing of excess/rubble materials.
Must be able to use any hand tool (non-mechanised) in the construction
