Agricultural Research Council Casual Workers

The Agricultural Research Council (ARC) is a leading scientific institution dedicated to conducting research, developing human capital, and fostering innovation to support the agricultural sector. It collaborates with partners to provide diagnostic, laboratory, analytical, and agricultural engineering services. Additionally, it engages in post-harvest technology development, agrochemical evaluation, consultation, advisory services, food processing technology, surveys, and training interventions. Through its extensive network of research institutes and experimental farms, the ARC offers a strong scientific foundation and widespread technology transfer capacity to the entire agricultural industry in South Africa.

 



 

Key Responsibilities:

– Perform routine tasks under supervision.
– Adhere to instructions from supervisors.
– Utilize tools and materials under supervision.
– Assist in research support under supervision.
– Provide verbal feedback on work activities to supervisors.
– Maintain adherence to quality standards.
– Assist with basic activities related to research services under supervision.
– Identify and participate in learning opportunities.
– Comply with SHE/OHS regulations and procedures.

Requirements:

– Good communication skills (verbal and written).
– Grade 10 or 1 year of relevant experience.
– Valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.

Agricultural Research Council Casual Workers:

A competitive remuneration package will be offered based on the scope, responsibilities, and stature of the position. The appointment will be subject to a positive security clearance, and preference will be given to South African citizens. Applications must include a covering letter, detailed CV (including certificates, supporting documents, copy of driver’s license, and nationality), and attached letters of referees.
