WORK INTEGRATED LEARNING PROGRAMME 2024/25 – 2025/26
NOTE: The Department of Education in the Eastern Cape offers students the chance to enroll in a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program. During a minimum of three months and a maximum of eighteen months, this program will allow them to acquire the application skills and “hands-on work” experience required in their respective disciplines or fields/areas of specialization to complete their qualifications from a registered public institution. The pupils will be assigned to the Head Office, as well as the twelve regional offices. The department invites applications from students who need to complete work-related experience in order to be eligible for a degree or diploma in any of the following fields or disciplines (X120 positions). People with impairments are encouraged to apply and reveal the nature of their handicap, as they will be given preference. Please mention in your application letter which media outlet you saw or heard about the post. The applicant should consider his or her application failed if, after two (2) months or sixty (60) days following the closing date, they have not received notification of the results. If the Department determines that no qualified candidates could be discovered, the Department reserves the right to cancel the interviews and appointments. It is not acceptable to canvass employees or management, and doing so will get you disqualified. A performance/work plan agreement and an internship contract must be signed by the incumbent. Individuals who have benefited from the Program in the past will not be eligible.
