COMMUNITY SAFETY OFFICERS EPWP (9 MONTHS CONTRACT)
The duration of the contract is 9 Months.
Rate: R271.14 per day
Requirements:
– A Grade 12
– Clean criminal record
– 18 – 35 years
Duties and Responsibilities:
– Help the security officers at the points of entry.
– Patrol often to prevent crimes on Council property and to safeguard staff, property, and premises.
– In the municipal jurisdiction and any other areas of Council concern, patrol alongside law enforcement officers to monitor and enforce by-law compliance.
– Manage and oversee access control by filling out relevant registrations and verifying appointments.

The positions listed above are work opportunities under the Expanded Public Works Program (EPWP) and are only available for a limited time under contract. A SUITABILITY CHECK, INCLUDING A CRIMINAL RECORD AND QUALIFICATION VERIFICATION, WILL BE PERFORMED ON APPROPRIATE CANDIDATES.
Workers need to be ready to work in different parts of the City of Polokwane’s Council premises. Applicants who live within the City of Polokwane’s boundaries will be given preference.
The Municipality retains the prerogative to refuse scheduling an appointment.
