STIPEND: R1 712.00 per month plus R34.24 (UIF Contribution per month)
Applications are invited from eligible parents/guardians of learners for the services of the Volunteer food Handler (VFH) to prepare meals for the learners in the national school nutrition programme (NSNP) for a period of 24 months, from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2025.
Applications must be made using new Z83 application form for employment accompanied by certified copies of valid a South African ID, not older than 3 months, and submitted to school for the attention of the principal, no later than 04 November 2022.
REQUIREMENTS
- Be a parent or guardian of a learner or learners at the school.
- Be a South African Citizen with a valid SA ID
- Be unemployed
- Not receiving pension or state assistance from Social Security Systems.
- Be between the age of 18 to 55 years
DUTIES
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals to learners on time in the classrooms (i.e later than 10am)
- Ensure that all learners wash their hands before and after the meal
- Observe basic standards of health and safety practices
- Clean preparation areas, cooking equipment, and eating and cooking utensils before and after use
- Clean storage areas on a regular basis, safe keeping of food stock and kitchen utensils
