One of the few remaining vertically integrated utilities, Eskom is connected to the Southern African Power Pool (SAPP) via an interconnected grid, which contributes to the stability of the grid. The Youth Employment Service (YES) is a component of the Presidency-led public-private effort to address our nation’s youth unemployment crisis. In accordance with the BBBEE definition, Eskom is providing youth who are unemployed in South Africa with employment opportunities.

To qualify for the programme, you should not:
– Have been employed permanently for more than 1 year with a single employer.
– Be studying full time in the year of employment.
– Have been a part of the YES initiative before.
Applicants will go through a recruitment process, and if successful, be placed in the Eskom Operations across the divisions.
Minimum Requirements:
– Must be a South African Citizen
– Between 18 to 34 years
– Grade 12 or equivalent
