FIRE SERVICES DEPARTMENT IS HIRING EMMERGENCY COMMUNICATOR
Requirements:
Basic Salary: R 199 340 Per Annum (R16 611.67 Per Month)
– Grade 12
– Contact or call centre experience will be an added advantage
– Computer Literacy
– Understanding of emergency contact centre operations and systems
– Good interpersonal , communication and public relations skills
– No criminal
– Must be able to work shifts including night
– Must be available to work weekends
Key Performance Areas:
– Attending and taking part in meetings for individual evaluation and feedback.
– Apply specialized knowledge when receiving, evaluating, capturing, and disseminating non-routine emergency and general service communication by gathering information to establish the nature of the incident (e.g. emergency, non-emergency, or complaint). – Maintain databases by gathering, capturing, and verifying required information.
– Establish and maintain incident report data on specialized emergency response systems and apps.
– Overseeing the development of training skills and the transmission of knowledge by conducting training in regard to current employees and prospective hires at designated facilities
