ABOUT CCMA:

The Labour Relations Act, 1995 (Act no. 66 of 1995) [as amended] established the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA), a statutory body whose legislative authority is primarily derived from Section 23 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa (1996) and the LRA.

According to Schedule 3A of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), the CCMA is a national public entity. It is an independent organization that is not associated with or a member of any corporation, trade union, or political party. The LRA’s mission to “advance economic development, social justice, labor peace, and the democratization of the workplace” is where the CCMA gets its mandate.

 


 

Purpose: To assist the CCMA Commissioners and structures by providing interpreter services to facilitate successful outcomes of CCMA activities.

Key Performance Areas:

– Verbal interpretations during hearings.
– Administrative support functions.

Key Requirements:

– Matric Certificate
– National Diploma in Labour Related Qualification.
– 1 year experience
– Knowledge on latest legislation/ amendments.
– Languages: isiXhosa and isiZulu.
