FREE DRIVER’S LICENSE FOR UNEMPLOYED YOUTH

ADVERT: OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUTH PARTICIPATION IN THE DRIVER’S LICENCE FUNDED PROJECT – SIYAQHUBA DRIVING SKILLS PROJECT.

Inxuba Yethemba Local Municipality, previously known as Cradock Local Municipality, is a local municipality situated in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. The municipality falls under the Chris Hani District Municipality.

Inxuba Yethemba Local Municipality in partnership with Silvercorn Solutions (Pty) Ltd are calling upon 50 applicants to submit their applications at the Cradock and Middelburg municipality offices to be considered for funding of learner’s licences and driving lessons.

The project is funded by the Transport Education Training Authority (TETA) in response to rural development for historically disadvantaged persons.

Recipients of the funding will benefit in the following:

– Funded learner’s licence lessons and Learner’s license (test)
– Funded Driving lessons and Driver’s licence testing

The criterion for applications is as follows:

– Applicant must be a South African citizen
– Applicants must be unemployed youth (18-35 years)
– The applicant must fall in the group of previously disadvantaged persons
– The applicant must reside in the Inxuba Yethemba Municipality region
– Learner’s licence will be an added advantage.

Failure to meet the above criterion will result in an automatic disqualification of the application.

How to apply:

– Application forms will be available for completion at the Middelburg and Cradock municipality offices.
– Bring a certified ID copy (not more than 3 months old)
– Bring proof of residence or a stamped affidavit confirming the address you reside in.

Upon completion of the application form and submitting a register must be signed as proof of your submission.
Communication will be sent to the successful applicants via email and telephone within 4 weeks post the closing date.
All applications must be submitted to the Executive Mayor’s office for attention: Kuhle September.
