AFGRI x40 Apprenticeship in Various Branches in South Africa

Job Description:

At our various South African branches, AFGRI provides an opportunity for an attractive apprentice training program. Those who are enthusiastic, self-driven, and possess the requisite technical skills and who would like to become an Artisan are encouraged to apply. Through the Apprenticeship Program, the employee has the chance to advance within AFGRI with the guidance of our leaders, informal training, and on-the-job growth rotations in interdisciplinary teams.

The duration of this apprenticeship is three years of in-service training. This will count toward the Tractor or Earthmoving Mechanic certification. Probation runs for the first six months of the period. Both the employer and the employee use this time to ensure that their connection is long-term. During this time, any party may withdraw without incurring any fees. After that, the apprentice will begin his real training and be bound by an AFGRI contract. This instruction consists of: When necessary, the apprentice will attend a practical training institute for the various phases. Simultaneously, the apprentice will be enrolled in N required subjects at a college and will study remotely (if possible and needed).

Attendance in classes on Saturdays is also expected. While at work, the distance learning may continue as needed. The apprentice will receive internal training from our own specialists in addition to product training at the John Deere Training Facility in Boksburg and other suppliers.

The Apprentice’s responsibilities will comprise:

qualified as a technician or mechanic

upkeep and repairs for associated equipment

In charge of stock management

Client support

general tasks performed at work

The bare minimum needed to submit this application is:

A legitimate driver’s license
Administrative and Communication Skills
proficiency with computers

N2 subjects:

Quantities
Science of Engineering
Diesel Trade Theory as well as any of the subsequent
Technical drawings and engineering for industrial electronics
Theory of Motor Trade
The Matric Certificate will also be taken into consideration if the candidate passes subjects like these even if they do not have the N2 qualification.
Mathematics (Not literacy)
Technical Calculus (Instead of Literacy)
Physical Science
Scientific Engineering and Technology Design and Graphics

AFGRI x40 Apprenticeship in Various Branches in South Africa

The apprentice will not be charged for the training mentioned above if they pass; however, if they fail, they will have to retake it at their own expense and time. The contract binds each and every apprentice. This agreement with AFGRI is for three years. There will be expenses if the apprentice leaves during the apprenticeship or the “work-back period.” Costs will be computed based on the time and stage of withdrawal. The apprentice is supposed to repay the time it took him to become qualified. A four-year contract extension is not possible. The apprenticeship contract expires after four years if the apprentice is still unqualified.
